I live in Boulder and hike around the entire state of Colorado. I spent my childhood mushroom hunting with my parents in Poland. I picked up the hobby in Colorado as an adult. I also cultivate mushrooms. There is nothing else I'd rather be doing than hiking and looking for mushrooms while taking high country photos. In the last few years, I have picked mushrooms in Poland again and was really surprised by how different Poland'd mushroom ecosystem was compared to Colorado.
